Job Objective

The position is responsible for contributing to the Administrative Department’s function by providing a variety of support roles, ensuring compliance, compiling reports; developing plans and systems; carrying out the Mission Statement of Marion Goodwill Industries.

Essential Job Functions:

Coordination (through the assistance of your team):

  • Assist Executive Staff with various projects
  • Champion CARF requirements are being met to maintain accreditation.
  • Coordinate corporate events
  • Implement and coordinate employee recognition program
  • Ensure maintenance schedule adherence
  • Coordinate board meeting materials and notes
  • Coordinate dates and ensure company calendar is up to date and accurate
  • Assist Mission Service program as needed (ordering gas card, boot cards, clothing vouchers)
  • Schedule and distribute training materials for DISC assessments and Northstar.

Quality Control

  • Grant Processes and grant files
  • Conduct quality assurance audits- HR, Finance, Mission Services
  • Payroll Oversight:
    • Accurate biweekly runs
    • Correct BWC coding
    • End of year accuracy
    • GL set-up

General Functions

  • Develop and maintain positive, productive relationships with community organizations, government, and other deemed desirable or necessary to conform to the overall objectives and policies of Goodwill.
  • Attend meetings and trainings as scheduled. Travel for training may be required.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintain confidentiality; ensures correct information goes only to the appropraite person(s).
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma with (10) ten years administrative experience.
  • Excellent customer service skills for internal and external customers.
  • Creative and flexible problem-solving.
  • Proficient in computer skill set.
  • Highly organized.
  • Excellent communication/writing skills;
  • Desire to work with rehabilitation consumers, employees, and the public;
  • Team oriented;
  • Appropriate grooming and dress;

Special Requirements

  • Able to pass alcohol/drug screening;
  • Maintain a valid drivers’s license, a driving record acceptable to Goodwill’s insurance provider and adequate personal liability insurance.
  • Credentials and criminal background check required.

Physical Requirements:

The ability to remain in a stationary position roughly 75% of the time, as well as the ability to move about the office occasionally (accessing files/storage, office equipment, computers and other office productivity devices, attending meetings, etc.), is required.

Using a computer while sitting for extended periods is common. Must also be able to position self to maintain equipment, including under tables and desks.

No heavy lifting is expected, though occasional exertion of about 20 lbs. of force (e.g., carrying binders, portfolios, laptops) may be required. Good manual dexterity required to use common office equipment (e.g., computers, mobile devices, calculators, copiers, scanners).

Emotional: Can be high stress. Regular need for communication and social interaction with others. May require prioritization in a fast-paced environment.

Job Location: Marion office: will travel to stores and community based sites as needed; some overnight travel to meetings and conferences.
