Funding sources, state service provider
The Ohio Rehabilitation Services Commission
This state agency provides funding for our Vocational Rehabilitation Services. Ohioans may apply for services to determine if they are eligible for state funding. The three agencies supported by the Ohio RSC are:

Bureau of Vocational Rehabilitation
Provides services leading to employment for people with physical, mental and emotional disabilities. Eligibility is based on these factors:
1. Must have a physical, mental or emotional impairment which creates or results in a substantial barrier to employment,
2. You can benefit from vocational rehabilitation services in terms of employment outcome, and
3. RSC's vocational rehabilitation services must help you get and retain employment.

Bureau of Services for the Visually Impaired
Primary goal is providing people who have serious visual impairments with the services to enable them to get a job of their choice. BSVI also assists older citizens with serious vision loss to live more independently.

Bureau of Disability Determination
In agreement with the Social Security Administration, is responsible for determining medical eligibility for Ohioans.
