Contract services and housing
Marion Goodwill's Contracts Services Division subcontracts work from local businesses to use in training clients in skills such as assembly, packaging, labeling, cleaning, and lawn care services. Revenue generated from subcontract work pays the wages of our employees, as well as supports rehabilitation services.
Marion Goodwill also owns 15 houses and apartments, which are made available to rent for persons with disabilities and disadvantages.
Industrial Contracts
Joetta Levering, Operations Supervisor, oversees a very efficient and hard-working crew in industrial sub-contracting. Packaging and small assembly work make up the majority of the contracts. The contract services department is in a constant state of growth, as we are able to fulfill
a need for business owners who may not have the space, time or needed staff to complete the jobs in-house.
Marion area businesses who currently subcontract with Marion Goodwill include:
...• Todco
...• Wilson Bohannon
...• Whirlpool
Business owners should contact Joetta Levering, Operations Supervisor, jlevering@mariongoodwill.org or 740-387-7023 for a quote on your sub-contracting needs.
Snow removal and mowing services
Our crew provides snow removal and lawn mowing services to industrial, commercial and residential customers. These services have a two-fold benefit, providing employment for Goodwill employees as well as a good value for local residents. We are happy to give a fast and friendly quote for mowing and snow removal. Call 740-387-7023.
Goodwill proudly "cleans-up" at the Marion Popcorn Festival
For 19 years Marion Goodwill has provided clean-up crews for the Marion Popcorn Festival. Our crews are designed to provide temporary employment for individuals with disabilities or disadvantages, who may not be able to be employed elsewhere.
Janitorial Contracts
Marion Goodwill works with other state and local organizations to provide work and training in the janitorial field for employees.
A team of temporary employees have been cleaning up after the Marion Popcorn Festival for the past 19 years. The four-day jobs provide work and work-skills training for a variety of janitorial functions, including supervisory positions among the crew. Hiring preference is given to people with disabilities and disadvantages, and often persons hired for these positions are unable to work elsewhere.
