| Workforce Development Need a job? Goodwill can help! Goodwill’s Workforce Development Program helps individuals with disabilities or other barriers to employment explore possible careers, prepare for the job market, and find appropriate employment opportunities within their community. This program serves individuals in all five of our counties. Agencies such as the Bureau of Vocational Rehabilitation, Workman’s Compensation, and Job and Family Services refer individuals on a fee-for-service model. Self referrals are also accepted. Services offered are: • Career Exploration • Training in Job Seeking Skills • Community Based Assessment • Work Adjustment • Job Coaching / Mentoring • Job Development and Placement Extended Employment Services Provides employment for individuals with disabilities or other barriers to employment who have demonstrated motivation to work but are unable to meet the demands of working in a non-supportive environment. Individuals must be unable to consistently produce at competitive levels due to work speed, stress, physical limitations, difficulty multi-tasking, etc. Employment and training occurs in our donated goods, retail, industrial contracts, janitorial, lawn, and maintenance divisions. This program is also designed to use work to further determine job skills, work habits, physical and emotional tolerance, and to help prepare individuals for other competitive employment. HIRE A GOODWILL REFERRAL A Goodwill referral is a person with a disability or other barrier to employment who wants to work. Our services are designed to ensure individuals are well matched to the job, thereby achieving success in the workplace. Funding is available from various agencies to assist employers with training, job coaches, workplace modifications and more. Employers who hire Goodwill referrals set a higher standard in the community, as they are dedicated to helping individuals with disabilities become self-sufficient through employment.
