Job Title: Marketing Coordinator
Location: 340 W Fairground St., Marion, Ohio 43302
Job Objective
This position is responsible for providing leadership and coordination of marketing functions. Develops and implements corporate Marketing strategy. S/he is to carry out the Mission Statement of Marion Goodwill Industries Inc.


Essential Job Functions
Responsible for the research of market conditions to determine potential sale of product or mission message. Examines and analyzes statistical data to forecast future trends. Recommends appropriate action based on information. Responsible for the collection of data to facilitate these studies and anticipating changes in media or prospective customers/donors.
Identify key goal, objective, or outcome of marketing material. Identify audience, analyze effectiveness and appropriateness marketing materials and message. Responsible for positive relation with media, interest groups, and the community at-large. Coordinate the design, production, and writing of marketing material. Assist with concept development and layout for design of marketing material. Utilize various marketing/public relations tools to educate various publics about Goodwill’s mission/services/programs. Coordinate various marketing projects/events; monitor timelines, ensuring all materials are created, ordered, etc. for various events. Keep supervisor, staff, and employees updated about events, meetings, advertising, contact information, or any other general marketing on a timely basis. Maintain contact with area media to encourage the publication of agency news and features and with business, organizations, and individuals to assess community needs and promote Goodwill services. Produce press releases for agency events, programs, and mission.
Assists and coordinates store and vehicle signage needs. Attend community functions as needed. Create and distribute marketing and/or public relations publications (i.e. newsletters, brochures, annual reports) as requested for internal and external use. Maintain inventory of marketing materials. Manages marketing budget. Obtains approval for all PR material disseminated to consumers, employees and the community at large. Plan and coordinate special events, (i.e. Wheel-A-Thon, Annual Meeting, fundraising events) and volunteer efforts for events. Acquire any needed event sponsors and material donations through letter writing and face-to-face contacts. Design and assist with the implementation of advertising plans and strategies for agency events, programs, and overall mission. Build, maintain, and update website. Maintain a historical file of all articles which are Goodwill related or of interest to the welfare of our consumers. Maintain a positive team-oriented relationship with all employees and department managers; present a positive public image for the betterment of the Agency. Perform other related duties as assigned or directed.


Critical Skills
Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or Public Relations. An Associates Degree with one or two years of marketing experience, to include developing and implementing marketing programs and materials. Excellent communication skills both verbal and in writing. Highly organized and self motivated. Posses ability to be resourceful and complete given tasks within deadlines. Able to interpret and disseminate information. Computer literate. Comfortable with technology and the use of standard office programs. Desire to work with rehabilitation consumers, employees and the public; team oriented; appropriate dressing and grooming. Ability to lift up to 20 pounds in a safe manner; ability to stoop, squat, and bend and to sit for up to four hours at a time. Credentials and criminal background check required. Able to pass alcohol/drug screening; Maintain a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and adequate personal liability insurance.
Hours: Full-time Position; Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
